43c7d1c7cc On VMS use --batch by default if in batch mode. 
This problem was identified and solved by Steven M. Schweda.
Note that the vms specific code is not part of this repository.

3459c6b015 First set of changes to backport the new card code from 2.0. 
For compatibility reasons a few new files had to be added.
Also added estream-printf as this is now used in app-openpgp.c and provides
a better and generic asprintf implementation than the hack we used for the
W32 code in ttyio.c.  Card code is not yet finished.

67c18b8c3c * ttyio.c (do_get): Assume that anything read from the user without 
echoing to the screen is sensitive and put it in secure memory.

b12d50dccd * ttyio.c (tty_enable_completion, tty_disable_completion): Add checks 
for no_terminal so we don't try to open("/dev/tty") when invoked with
--no-tty.

005b1d7960 Readline fix to be robust against platforms where readline has its own 
dependencies.  We play guess-the-depedency for a while, and try termcap,
curses, and ncurses.

bfc45cc8bc * configure.ac: Check for readline. 
* signal.c (got_fatal_signal): Do readline cleanup.  Print signal
number if we can't print the name. Use new autoconf macro
HAVE_DECL_SYS_SIGLIST.
(get_signal_name): Removed.

* ttyio.c (tty_get): Add readline support.

simple-gettext.c, errors.c, http.c, memory.c, secmem.c, ttyio.c: Edit all
preprocessor instructions to remove whitespace before the '#'.  This is
not required by C89, but there are some compilers out there that don't
like it.

2c1e7afe06 * ttyio.c (tty_print_utf8_string, tty_print_utf8_string2): Use 0 to 
indicate a string with no maximum size.  This prevents early truncation of
strings that contain control chars which are expanded into \xXX form.
