build: Increase libassuan min version to 2.5.0
--
assuan_sock_set_system_hooks is used unconditionally in gnupg since
commit 9f641430dcdecbd7ee205d407cb19bb4262aa95d, and as such it requires
libassuan 2.5.0 (function introduced in
commit 90dc81682b13a7cf716a8a26b891051cbd4b0caf)

build: New configure option --enable-run-gnupg-user-socket.
* configure.ac: (USE_RUN_GNUPG_USER_SOCKET): New ac_define.
* common/homedir.c (_gnupg_socketdir_internal): Add extra directories.
--

This allows to build GnuPG with an extra socketdir below /run. See
https://lists.gnupg.org/pipermail/gnupg-devel/2017-November/033250.html
for a longer explanation why this is sometimes useful.

Use the gpgrt log functions if possible.
* common/logging.c: Do not build any code if we can use the gpgrt_log
functions.
(log_logv_with_prefix): Rename to log_logv_prefix and change order of
args so that this function matches its printf like counterpart
gpgrt_logv_prefix. Change all callers.
(log_debug_with_string): Rename to log_debug_string. Change all
callers.
(log_printhex): Move first arg to end so that this function matches
its printf like counterpart gpgrt_log_printhex. Change all callers.
* common/logging.h: Divert to gpgrt/libgpg-error if we can use the
gpgrt_log functions.
(bug_at): Add inline versions if we can use the gpgrt_log functions.
* configure.ac (GPGRT_ENABLE_LOG_MACROS): Add to AH_BOTTOM.
(mycflags): Add -Wno-format-zero-length.
--

This patch enables the use of the log function from libgpgrt (aka
libgpg-error). Instead of checking a version number, we enable them
depending on macros set by recent gpg-error versions. Eventually the
whole divert stuff can be removed.

The -Wno-format-zero-length is required because log_printhex can be
called with an empty format string. Note that this is fully specified
standard C behaviour.

build: Use -Werror only for the check.
* configure.ac: Do not add -Werror to mycflags.
--

On Windows and possible also on other platforms we expect to a get a
few errors or warnins. Thus we can't use -Werror by default. This is
why we have a separate configure options --enable-werror ;-).

build: Do not mess with CFLAGS in configure.
* configure.ac: Do not mess with the user provided CFLAGS.
--

A problem was claimed with some configure tests if the user provided
CFLAGS=-Werror.  The commit introducing this

Fixes-commit: 02eb9fc9d5863abcfed6af704e618f8cac7cc2e8

does not mention a concrete case. Anyway, messing with CFLAGS is a
bad idea because configure tests will then test something different
than what is used later (cf. autoconf manual). Tests which depend on
the whether -Werror is used needsto be fixed.

Note that in certain cases we modify CFLAGS. This is only done for
some configure options or if the platform requires the use of special
compiler flags (e.g. on HP/UX).

Timing for verification is limited to data signatures because this is
the most common thing to evaluate. We should consider to change
log_clock to printf style so that we could print the signature class
and other info.

Our regression test suite makes use of the envvar GNUPG_BUILDDIR. Now
the code in gnupg for evaluating this envvar is only included in a
development version (that is one with a "-betaNNN" suffix). For a
real release the envvar is not considered. However during a "make
distcheck" a "make check" is done for the build directory. Without
defining that envar we would try to run binaries in the install
directory ("_inst" sub-directory) which are not yet installed at that
time.

--recursive-resolver was easy enough to implement and may be useful in

This option allows for runtime switching to the system's standard
resolver. This is mainly useful to work around possible bugs in the
optional resolver libraries (as of now ADNS). Note that on Windows
there is no code to use systems's resolver and thus for full
functionality dirmngr must be build with a separate resolver.

This patch also does way with configure options to disable the use of
CERT and SRV records.

* g10/getkey.c (parse_auto_key_locate): Always include PKA.

--

Note that although PKA is now always build, it will only work if
support for looking up via DNS has not been disabled.

The new PKA only works with the IPGP DNS certtype and shall be used
only to retrieve the fingerprint and optional the key for the first
time. Due to the security problems with DNSSEC the former assumption
to validate the key using DNSSEC is not anymore justified. Instead an
additional layer (e.g. Trust-On-First-Use) needs to be implemented to
track change to the key. Having a solid way of getting a key matching
a mail address is however a must have.

More work needs to go into a redefinition of the --verify-options
pka-lookups and pka-trust-increase. The auto-key-locate mechanism
should also be able to continue key fetching with another methods once
the fingerprint has been retrieved with PKA.

gnulib has always been a cause of trouble in GnuPG because we used
only a very few functions and the complex include machinery of gnulib
is quite complex and the cause for many build problems for example on
OS X. This is not gnulib's fault but due to our limited use of gnulib
and that we only rarely update the gnulib code to avoid regressions.

In part two we will address the functions

 mkdtemp
 setenv
 unsetenv
 strpbrk

which may bot be implemented on all platforms. They are not required
on a libc based system.

--

This is a cherry-pick of 534e2876acc05f9f8d9b54c18511fe768d77dfb5 from
STABLE-BRANCH-1-4 against master

Some older implementations built and used RSA keys up to 16Kib, but
the larger secret keys now fail when used by more recent GnuPG, due to
secure memory limitations.

Building with ./configure --enable-large-secmem will make gpg
capable of working with those secret keys, as well as permitting the
use of a new gpg option --enable-large-rsa, which let gpg generate RSA
keys up to 8Kib when used with --batch --gen-key.
